Coming Soon: The Brand New Turning Point Discovery Center
Nestled in between two of Trenton’s Revolutionary War landmarks – the Old Barracks Museum and the Trenton Battle Monument – our location is the perfect starting point for children to begin learning about Trenton’s rich history.
Our new facility will be open to all! We’re looking forward to welcoming local families and children of all ages as well as visitors from across the region!
Located in the heart of Downtown Trenton, the 10,000 square foot building – complete with indoor and outdoor community space – will host interactive displays, hands-on STEAM educational activities designed specifically for young children, as well as a wide range of special events and family-friendly activities, such as gardening, healthy eating, and so much more!

It’s amazing to discover how diverse and impactful the tales of our Trentonian foremothers and forefathers are. Children who visit the history exhibits at the Turning Point Discovery Center will be emersed in exciting and relatable stories that highlight the experiences, struggles, and triumphs of Trentonians from all backgrounds. A collection of artifacts and compelling displays really bring the history to life and offer inspiration to young minds.

The heart of a people can be found within their art.
Through the art of locals, the imagination of children will be ignited. Our young visitors will be encouraged not only to look at beautiful works, but to create their own. Expression and creativity will be fostered through scheduled activities that incorporate surrounding history as well as artistic technique. Our visitors will not be passive viewers, but active participants who can explore their talents and discover new ways of having their voices heard through art.

The permanent exhibits at Turning Point Discover Center range from testimonials of local history to clever and interactive scientific displays.
Everything has been designed with a child’s perspective in mind, so everything is fun and engaging while imparting important lessons. Our goal is to engage and inspire children, setting them on the path to future success. Children are welcome! Please feel free to explore these exhibits through touch.

Science on North Broad
In many ways the Turning Point Discover Center has no walls. Yes, we are a children’s museum. Yes, we have a location, but the learning we provide expands beyond our fixed structure. Join us for history, science, and celebration at several outdoor locations throughout Trenton. We are excited to be immersed in this thriving community and are pleased to take advantage of some of the beautiful locations throughout the city.
