Book Reading: City Shapes by Diana Murray

“Hunt for shapes of all kinds on this journey through a bustling city, illustrated by four-time Caldecott Honoree Bryan Collier!”

Virtual readings are Fridays prior to the Saturday in-person event. The book reading will prepare children for the activity to come the next day.

Saturday morning, August 17 (In-Person)

  • In-person class.

  • Supplies will be provided for our engineering/science-related activities.

  • Parent/guardian must accompany children for the duration of the event – NO drop-offs.

  • Location = 145 No. Broad Street, Trenton, NJ

  • Time: 10 am–12 noon

Saturday Activities

"Earthquake Proof" – Design a structure that will not fall in an earthquake

"Sink or Swim" – Design an aluminum Foil Boat that can carry cargo without sinking

"Lego Challenge – Design a city block

"City Flight" – Drone view of the city looking for architecture
